Paperless Office
We pride ourselves on efficiency and want to help you have a seamless experience in our office. We know filling out paperwork is never fun, however we have found that doing it online eases the pain so that when it comes time to update your information it is not redundant. With that in mind we do our very best to be a paperless office. Your information is digitally stored on our HIPAA security system, allowing members of our team easy access to your information. Digital files also make it easy for us to share your information with your insurance company or specialists. To update your information in advance, feel free to access it through our secure patient portal.
Wellness Scans andSmile Simulations
At Tuttle Dental Care we are known for our thorough examination, and one piece of technology we use annually to complete these exams is our iTero Element 4D scanner. With this digital impression technology we can track any areas of wear on your teeth, recession on your gumline and detect cavities as they are forming. The best part is that we can also show you a real-time simulation of how your smile will look after minor interventions like cosmetic or Invisalign®treatment. Ask us for your complimentary smile simulation at your next visit! Learn more about where we use this technology
Digital Impressions
Dental technology has come a very long way. Even though we still have the gooey impression material in our office we rarely need to use it because we have multiple digital impression units, the CEREC PrimeScan and the iTero Element 4D to make your visit and your dental records more comfortable. We have replaced the gooey impression material with the digital scans for treatments such as same-day crowns, night guards, whitening trays, dentures, implants and much more!Learn more about where we use this technology
CEREC Same-Day Crowns
As much as we love to see our patients, we understand it is not always convenient to see us multiple times for the same procedure. When it comes to needing a restoration such as a crown or onlay (partial crown) we utilize the CEREC Same-Day Crown digital scanner and milling system. The CEREC PrimeScan along with an in-house milling unit called CEREC PrimeMill are used to mill a block of lithium disilicate ceramic or Zirconia in only one dental visit. The times of needing two visits to complete this procedure are in the past along with the need of a temporary crown. The material used is the same material used with a traditional method of taking an impression and sending it to a lab. The difference is that, in our lab, it is in our office.Learn more about where we use this technology
State-of-the-ArtSterilization
Now more than ever people care about coming to a clean, sanitized office. Luckily, at Tuttle Dental Care we have always maintained a clean office that prides ourselves on patient safety. Our office was outfitted with HEPA Filtration before the pandemic, and we have implemented and maintained the philosophy that our next patient is our family member – and we need to clean with that in mind. As frontline workers interacting with patients within inches of each others’ faces, we have always taken the precautions necessary to protect ourselves and our patients from germs. With our state of the art sterilization center, equipment and processes in place, we can ensure a safe visit from start to finish.
Cone BeamComputed Tomography
Cone Beam Computed Tomography, known as CBCT, is 3D X-ray imaging that has transformed the dental industry and our practice. With this technology we can see precise detail of the three-dimensional anatomy of your teeth, jaws, and other structures in the head and neck area, like your airway. We utilize our Orthophos SL CBCT scanner for many things, such as measurements for the precise placement of dental implants, Airway Obstructions, and even Root Canal tracing to identify the number of canals present in a diseased tooth to reduce the risk of missed canals during treatment, as well as disease detection. Another use for our 3D technology is to assess facial trauma and discover a potential fractured jaw. Since CBCT sees so much more than our routine 2D X-rays, we also have partnered with BeamReaders, our Radiology partners that will read and evaluate our CBCT scans if pathology presents itself. This way we always keep your health at the center of our practice’s focus.
Digital X-Rays
2D digital X-rays are still needed even though we also utilize our CBCT scanner. 2D X-rays show decay much more clearly because there is less detail that needs to be captured. 2D digital X-rays are a safer and more efficient way to see problems inside your teeth, compared to manually processed film X-rays. Since your X-rays are digital, we can look at them with you as soon as they’re taken. We’ll show you the problem area and explain why treatment is necessary and how it will benefit your oral health. When you understand clearly what the problem is, you will be able to make more informed decisions about your dental treatments. Digital x-rays are also safer than film x-rays because they reduce your exposure to radiation by about 90%.
3D Printing Lab
The future of Dentistry is in 3D Printing. 3D Printing allows us to provide top notch quality material to our patients more efficiently. The range of what 3D Printing can do is limitless. We utilize our SprintRay 3D Printer to make physical models of our 3D Simulations and models of your current dentition as well as our implant planned surgical guides for more accurate implant placement. We can use it for night guards, retainers, and even whitening trays.
